Are any of IMDB's results actors?
The one match IMDB shows between inception and Howard the Duck is a musician and he's not shown by this tool, so it could be that this tool only shows actors

Yeah, I use IMDb all the time for this, not sure why a separate app/website was necessary to do this.

It works on the mobile site. Just use Chrome on your phone and bookmark it.

IMDB does it with all noteworthy crew and not just actors, though? So I guess if you wanted an explicit actor search method then this works.

IMDb is very useful. why do you think it sucks? I've never noticed it loading slowly. what do you think is a better alternative?

IMDb is the only relevant site that does what it does. Rotten Tomatoes and other suck balls.
