The way this organization tags sharks is they first catch them by hook and line. Excessively tire them out then raise them out of the water using a large lift. This puts immense stress on their internal organs due to the loss of the saltwater buoyancy. They then drill a tracker onto the dorsal fin which causes permanent disfigurement in many sharks.
