This back and forth sparring of words between both of you reminds me of a classic joke I wrote a while back.

Guy on stilts: Hey, can I try some of your ice cream?
Guy living in a cave: Sure!
Guy living in a cave: Could I try some of yours?
Guy on stilts: No.
