Many sites don’t make it clear that you will still have access until the end of the trial. This also works for annual/ monthly subscriptions in my experience.

Alot of companies have gotten wise to this so the moment you cancel is the moment your lose your access. YMMV

This is a good way to lose your trial, don't listen to this generalized LPT without confirmation the trial will continue until its period ends

I set an event on my calendar with several alerts for the trial expiration date if it will not let me cancel immediately without losing my trial.

Doesn’t work for the HBO Max extension (or, I assume, the others offered) through Hulu. I did exactly this hoping to save myself having to remember to cancel my trial later, and the access ended immediately.
