LPT: Befriend a cop

You’ll hear funny stories and you also have a potential lifeline if you need to be saved from a ticket. Without sharing to many details, I got pulled over by a cop this morning on my way to work. Things happens. My cop friend and the patrol who stopped me, just so happen to be friends and have worked together for a long time. After a phone call, I was left to go with a warning. I got lucky.

We all laugh at the DA/Mayor/Chief that thinks they shouldn't be burdened by the law. You are that person.

Do befriend a cop. They are humans that need positive influences in their life. Don't ask your cop friend to get you out of the consequences of committing a crime!

I'm not a cop, but do have a couple in the family. If I'm being abused by the police, I'm calling in a favor. If I fucked up and got pulled over for speeding, I'll call them after to tell them whether John or Jane Cop was a jerk or cool about it.

I was pulled over twice and was given a warning twice. A better lpt, don't bull shit a cop, there job is to deal with people each day. The more you help them, the more they will help you.

I would revise this for a lot of people today:

LPT. Befriend a cop. You might realize it's foolish to throw an umbrella over a certain group of people. Shitty cops make the news, people are upset and want to "defund the police." Most cops are good people. Cops are undertrained. Cops have a very hard job the majority of people would not want to do or be capable of doing. Cops are stressed and make mistakes.
