The prices are usually similar to regular spas, but you often get day access to a bunch of amenities, like their swimming pool/hot tub, lounge room, fitness center, maybe even steam room and sauna.

For example, the Hyatt Hotel near me has spa prices that are similar to other spas (eg. you can get a spa pedicure w lower leg massage for $45) but it has all these amenities. So I have gone and basically made a day of it with a workout, swim, soak in the tub, nap and snacks in the lounge room.

Probably doesn't apply if you're looking for a more clinical/medical massage.
