LPT: If Never is in the title then there are likely good occasions, opportunities to sometimes do something.
Depends; if you’re a frequent flyer, it’s not worth it.
I’ve done a group charter where condensation was dripping on my head for 8 hours, and THAT flight was worth it — I wouldn’t have been able to go at all without the steep discount that we got for that dodgy airplane.

The difference here is that your work is paying,in which case I would totally agree. It's definitely not worth it to go the discount rate.
Out of your own pocket is a different story
No I run my own business, I pay my own flights but thanks for assuming
Ah. I see.
You wouldn't want to have to rub elbows with us unsavory types.
What? This isn’t an elitist take, between low-costs now charging stupid prices for anything more than a small handbag on board and them paying shit less airport fees and getting worst slots therefore more prone to delays, over bookings and cancellations you’re better off going with a good airline, by the end it won’t cost you that much more and your travel will be much smoother. But nah you caught me, I hate the passengers, brb getting in my private jet /s
Stay stupid 🤷🏻♂️
You’re correct. Cheaper airlines may cost less but you’re paying for that in risk. This other guy is an idiot
You not seeing it as elitist to spend a couple hundred extra for a flight is extraordinarily elitist.
Even at a hundred bucks extra for the ticket, a family of five on teachers salaries might have to save for months to afford the 'good airline' for the first vacation they've taken in 5 years.
But nah...You're right. I'm just stupid. Enjoy your privilege and your flight.
youd rather risks ruining your holiday youve spent 5 years to save up than spend a bit more? you do you
Like I said, enjoy your privilege and your flight. 'Spending a bit more' isn't in the cards for a lot of people.
Personally, I actually do quite well and my family is very comfortable. I'm just not under the illusion that I'm better than anybody else because of the number in my brokerage account. But as you say, YOU DO YOU.
You seem to think i look down on people who take low cost lol, ive taken plenty myself and the more ive taken, the more ive realised its just not worth it. Im not sure what country or low-cost youve taken but as an example:
London to Paris leaving 21 Nov - 27 November
Vueling + 1 luggage - 133euros per person
British Airways + 2 luggage - 166 euros per person
doesnt seem outrageous
For a 2 hour flight I'm fine with being treated like cattle and paying a smaller amount for the privilege.

I've taken plenty of flights on low-cost airlines and have actually « saved » money. AMA.
