From my experience YMMV DO NOT DO THIS.
I did that to three of mine, moisture got into the case and corroded the entire inside of the case and movement. 3 watches fubar.

Batteries are cheap, movements are costly. Not worth letting the moisture in.

Unless you keep your watches stored in an air-tight container, do not do this. Moisture can enter the watch when the crown is open.

Interesting, I hadn't thought about that. It was an idea that popped in my head and did a quick Goog to see if it was a thing, and found multiple websites saying that it was.
I have a cheap case for mine, if I threw a desiccant pack in there would that help? Or is it not even worth it?
