Do you mean you can't open the banana from the bottom?

Or that there are still strings attached after you peel the banana from the bottom?

Dang, you are the first person this hasn't worked for. And I have told everybody I know at this point, haha.

The "bottom" is the part with the small brown patch, no stem. If you peel from that part, all of the strings stay attached to the peel when you peel it off.

If that doesn't work, best of luck in your cursed blursed life.

Ha. Maybe I’ll give it another try. I just tried it 3 weeks ago after remembering this ‘trick’

If you think about it, the part you call the bottom is actually the top of the fruit. The side with the stem is the side attached to the plant, and as such, represents the bottom of the banana. We've just been looking at bananas wrong our entire lives.
