This is actually an asshole move. I hate getting to a doctors appointment 5 min early or on time and someone with a appointment half an hour after mine gets taken back during my scheduled appointment.

Doctors don’t sit around waiting to see patients. Something always has to give when this compromise is made and the first thing is the request/early presence is a distraction from concentration.

Concentration is one of the most important aspects of technical roles, and therefore this suggestion is entitled, damaging and, in my experience, downright incorrect.

Great way to spend more time in an infectious environment than necessary. Where I go, your suggestion would typically mean I’d wait around an hour most times. Depends very heavily on where you are, and how in-demand your doctor is.

Really silly LPT.
