A bet that someone can do something automatically assumes that if they fail they will owe you the money instead. That’s how betting works?
I’ve met a few real life trolls who try to pull the “It was 20$ if i made it, we never discussed anything about me not making it lol”
Also why I don’t do silly bets like that because if it’s not a troll then it’s a sore loser who “was just joking dude, it wasn’t a serious bet”
That’s so unbelievably stupid. Those people are idiots. The second type of people you described are ridiculous too
Yeah it’s why i don’t take random bets over trivial shit because it’s almost always like this.
I love a good bet that is well thought out and worth participating in.
But if someone proposes a bet with no real thought or idea of what to bet then it’s a quick “Nope” from me because it’s always one of those two kinds of people.
This is how betting works. If you don't want to bet, then don't.
This is already implied.
Why not just turn down the bet? The risk is eliminated...
I bet you 5 dollars you won't give me 100 dollars
Seems someone doesn't understand betting.
You should have posted this in r/Duh.
This might be the dumbest one yet. Sorry

"Twenty bucks I hit this shot."
"Whatever just shoot."
Er, yes, that's how those bets work.

A bet always goes both ways. Otherwise you're just paying them to do something. Have you ever done this before?
