A little bottle of peppermint oil can be used for so many things - but I find it incredibly useful to cover unpleasant smells. A bathroom without a fan? A questionable hotel room? A car rental that still smells like a dead body in the trunk? Mix your oil with some water in your spray bottle and spritz generously.

Would you be mixing this with the local water that...smells?

Lol! If the local water is stinky - which I have run into as well - then you're probably drinking bottled water so I'd used a bit of that instead of tap water.

How about just using perfume?

I find that most perfumes tend to mix with smells, instead of covering or eliminating.
