Yeah. Way less maths to deal with.

It's roughly x2 and 3 zeroes. My cat can do it.

There’s no need to flex bro. Nobody on the internet cares how smart you or your cat are.

You just gave 2 examples, not your method.

Um what's the formula? You didn't even explain how you got those numbers
Gr00ber OP t1_iy40ic5 wrote
Math. $12/hr x 40hr/week x 52weeks/year = $24,960 ~ $25k/year.
It's not a formula, it's a quick conversion factor.
MyNameIsSkittles t1_iy42oc4 wrote
Ok but you didn't explain that at all. Just said this equals this. If you're gonna make a math equation, you explain the entire equation.

Didn't want to insult people's intelligence by spelling out a unit conversion, but guess I was overly optimistic.
MyNameIsSkittles t1_iy44vel wrote
Has nothing to do with intelligence. Just because someone isn't as good at math as you doesn't just make them less smart. People are good at different things. You assuming people are stupid just makes you look that way tbh.

And for a super simple method, I just multiply hourly wage by 2,000 to get a pretty close estimate.

Or just not be America and calculate wages on a monthly basis. Seriously, America calculates salary in everything BUT months. You got per hours, per week, and jumping WAYYY to per year.
I mever understood the logic behind it.

That varies based on your location and what you put on your W4 form. This is just to calculate your yearly so you can see if a raise or offers somewhere else are better or worse.

Just multiply your wage x 2080.
