Nah the solution to a happy life is to always expect the worst and be positively surprised when it turns out better. No reflection just expectation.

Ngl that sounds pretty sad do you just walk around expecting you’re going to die every day and be happy when you don’t lol honestly not the worst idea in retrospect

I’ve come to realize, it’s not that simple. In my view, it could also create a reverse effect, where when something doesn’t workout, one will start thinking that your mindset wasn’t right. Your mind (including your mindset) is heavily dependent upon your body’s state (physiology, biology). You can be forcing your mind to stop procrastinating, or stop being aggravated over little things when you only had 4 hours of sleep and you will likely fail. Same goes for when you consume junk (both literally and figuratively (food and content on the internet)). I’m not downplaying the importance of observing one’s thoughts and working on/adjusting your worldview, I just used to think the same way and pointing out that it’s not an absolute statement. But definitely an important one.

It’s definitely not that simple I couldn’t write my whole thoughts out but the video goes into a little more. Even then though you’re right it’s only scratching the surface. But if people wanted to know everything it would take a lot more than a video and a short paragraph lol

That's more reflective thinking than expecting of that you're going to die. The idea is not to dwell or having overly ambitious goals but to be happy over a more positive outcome.
