Useful for that one time every few years when you're wearing dress shoes or flipflops and need to help push a broken down car off the road, go for a hike, whatever whatever.

never thought about the shoes, but i have a pack that has a lightweight jacket and rain coat as well as sweat pants in the car

Keep extra clothes too if you’re like me and spill food on yourself constantly like a child.

And if you have a child, keep a potty in the car for emergencies.

You shouldn’t be driving in flip flops or any unsecured footwear. High heels not a great choice either.
