You can get Christmas tree stands with a built in bucket to put water in.

BUT DO NOT WATER IT WITH LIGHTS ON THE TREE. Countless people die each year cause they water the tree while the lights are plugged in and turned on. Don't be one of those people

This "fact" has been attributed as being sourced from the Royal Society for the Preventation of Accidents. However, there is no record of the RoSPA ever actually claiming that. It shows up no where on their website and no website that mentions it as a link to the RoSPA as a source.
That "fact" is made up.
