I got recommended just using wd40 by the dealership I bought it from but still have not had any luck. Any recommendations?

I’ve tried it with just a pair of pliers. Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of tools at my disposal.

They’re both pretty bad but it does feel like it’s just hard for the head to grip. I’ll try to find a good rubber band and give that a shot!

I’ll give that a shot too. At this point I wish I would’ve let the dealership just do it since it’s a lot easier to find screws.

It’s just the screws that are the problem. I don’t have the plate on yet.

Jam those holes over the screws and slide sideways.

I just went through this, make sure you have good contact with the screw. I had bolts and used a socket. Put as little wd040 on it as you can. Then work the screw as much as you can, I had maybe 1/4 turn I could make back and forth. Then I let is sit for a while and when I came back I slowly had success. Then I did it again. Ha, I haven't switched the front plate yet it has 3 different screwheads, UGH. I would think the do that on the back not the front.

I've pulled a few stripped screws, and a pair of vice grips can work well if you have enough surface to grab and rotate the screw off - sometimes you just need to get it started.
