As a former bike mechanic I’ll throw this out there: you can probably get foam insulation tubes for free, or at least cheaper than pool noodles, by just going into your local bike store and asking if they’ll spare some insulation. Bikes are shipped in that stuff, and we would only ever reuse a small fraction of it.

I usually filled a big trash can with all that packing material every week. I’d rather just give it to someone who would use it.

Even better. I acquired mine for free too. I would probably put in the effort to get it for free because I'm that cheap but it's just so handy I felt like it was a good lpt.

Home Depot and Lowes have something similar as well, usually cheaper than pool noodles. Plus their black so they can blend in better than brightly colored pool noodles.

True, but I find pool noodles are better for some things than those. The fatter slightly denser foam works better in planters, boots, and massage. But those pipe wraps are handy too.
