My Chromecast with Google TV dongle must be the best $35 I've spent recently. Coupled with a VPN service, I'm able to watch my streaming services as if I was at home. It really makes for a more enjoyable trip, especially when the weather outside is miserable.

For the Chromecast, I have a Wireguard setup using my home router as the server. But I also use TorGuard and would recommend them.

Also, you NEVER have down time when you travel? Had dinner, have a couple hours before bed but not enough time to do much else? Maybe you’re up early and got to kill some time before meeting up with friends. Maybe you got a long night planned and want to relax in the hotel for a little bit before you start that. Could be a business trip in a place where there’s little to do or you have little time to explore.
