As the car in front of you passes a static object on the side of the road (like a telephone pole) count how many seconds it takes you to reach that same object in your vehicle. That’s how much time you have to respond if the car in front came to a dead stop (like from a head on collision). Give minimum 3 seconds. This assumes you’re going roughly the same speed.

One I learned a long time ago. If you are in a high crime area at a stoplight, leave room in front to drive away, even if you have to pull onto the sidewalk. Try not to be boxed in
Wow! Is that really a life pro tip that every driver is taught? Unless you're a Nascar racer and then rubbin' is racin'.
Hey OP if you push on the right side pedal the car goes. If you push on the middle or other pedal the car slows.
And! Moving that circular thing steers the car!
Friggin mind blowing isn't it!
On the flip side, leaving just enough room often leads to a-holes seeing that as room to cut you off/squeeze in last second bc their exit is coming up - the exit they've likely been aware of for a while but decided to cut as many people as possible before getting in the correct lane. That's why I follow just close enough

Sad world when we have to put things in this thread that are literally on the test to get a license to drive…
