Or - crazy idea - just use actual lubricant.
right but if you don’t have any
and you live 200 miles from the store and your vehicle is in disrepair you could use dish soap !
You can also use dish soap in your dishwasher. You’re washing dishes, after all. Right?
Pro tip: do NOT use dish soap in your dishwasher. Also don’t use it in your vehicle or on your door hinges. It will cause more problems than it fixes.
So you're telling me you don't have a pencil laying around?
we only use electronics in this home ! no pencils, no pens, no paper
WTF?! Worst tip ever. 🙄
That is wrong on so many levels. Dish soap is not what you use to fix a squeaky door.
Use the right tool for the right job. For this, you should be using Graphite.
That doesn't sound right.
try it, it works 👍

WD40 isn't a lubricant either.
WD40 is not a lubricant.

Only for a short while. Any regular lubricant is going to do a much better job.

No, it’s also not a lubricant. It’s a soap aka surfactant.
How about lithium grease, machine oil, or teflon dry lubricant.
Seriously WD40 is great for getting rusty things freed up, but it’s not a good lubricant for long term work.
I just use olive oil or any other oil.
Please don't do this. Instead use a spray dry lube. It's sold next to wd-40 and is designed for this exact situation, unlike wd-40 and dish soap.

It works for a short time but then gets even more squeaky as dust gets stuck in it. Use graphite.
