No need to be snarky and condescending. I have traveled extensively, far more than the average person. And no, I am not what most people would consider a "worrier". I don't always buy travel insurance, it depends on the trip. I have, in fact, been reimbursed via travel insurance on a few different occasions (which is why I find it worthwhile)

Yes everyone has heard of insurance but many people, especially those who don't actually travel a lot, may not be aware of travel insurance. Hence my "pro tip". You don't have to agree with me, lol. Obviously you don't. But again there's no need to be insulting by saying I should seek the help of a professional.

PS. I never meant to say that everyone should buy it every time they travel simply that people should consider it. I guess I should have been more nuanced in my original post

Anyway, I'm done with this convo, down vote my advice and move on

I am incredibly annoyed by how this post frames buying a particular financial product as the standard way to go and a life pro tip because you felt it has helped you before ("LPT: buy travel insurance" instead "LPT Research if travel insurance might be right for you if you are someone who...<insert specific circumstance that requires insurance>"). And instead of being curious as to how the financial product that you are promoting works and open to learning more about the insurance industry, you just get angry that I pointed out some things I disagree with and that insurance might not be right for everyone for the following reasons. The willful ignorance and arrogance here

I recognize the snarkiness in my comment, couldn't help it (which is why I wasn't going to continue the conversation)
