This is great for younger kids or people who are unsure of the set up process. For the "gamer" in your life plase let them set it up. It's part of the process and allows you to begin to understand your new system. For me personally, I love this part. All the logging in an the new sounds and notification noises. It's enjoyable.

Jesus Christ, this sub is literally this "LPT" over and over again for the 3 weeks running up to Christmas. Stop.

Haha no. If it cost me that much to buy, they get to endure the update time

It's cute that you think you can set it up faster than your kids

Every time I see a post like this I think of my dad. If you are giving a technical gift to a child or a nervous senior, by all means, you should put things together. Make it an easy buy-in. I got my dad a digital picture frame so we can send him photos while traveling. When I was talking about them in general, he was like oh I could never do that. I will be setting it up before he gets it to get him past the hump.

For everyone else like your teen kids, ask them if they want you to update it with them and come up with something fun to do while the updates are running.
