I think what you're asking for is a bit steep. It is one hundred percent fine to ask for personal space or take some alone time, pretty healthy, and probably encouraged. But a day or two... that's a tall ask outside of like a camping trip with friends or something similar. Ever asked her how she feels when you do that? I'd start there, then maybe ask yourself why you feel you need that much time.

Not really. Everyone needs time. That's ok. Maybe you could book a room at a local motel or B&B or something?

If I need some me time sometimes I'll take day off work. House to myself until the stinky kiddo and wife come home.

Day or two....hahahah. I can't use the bathroom without someone asking where I'm at.

Sounds like you're more the single type, but I have heard of married couples living in their own space (apartments/houses), but they were old (early 50's)

You may need to get some help with this issue before it impacts your relationship
