Die alone?

I think many people are afraid of functioning alone. I see guys my age who have been married three, four times. They couldn't fry an egg or clean a toilet to save their lives.

Thank you for posting this. Having kids that will take care of you when you're old is not a retirement plan and not how our western culture works. Plus, it's presumptuous and more than likely not going to end up that way. Home healthcare is unbelievably taxing on relationships.

Who thinks like this? "I'm going to get married now because 40 years from now I'm afraid of X."
