Just make sure you actually go and pick them up at the agreed upon time, otherwise it makes extra work for them. But those places constantly have boxes coming in and flattened cardboard going out :)

good tip. used to work at McDonald's, we always had people requesting fry boxes n shit so I can testify to this one

Barnes and noble have the best boxes. And to a of them, too, to give away. Just go in and ask.

Just cruise your local mall parking lot in the afternoon. One trip will get you lots of free boxes in good shape that are nearly broken down, and all you have to do is tape them again.
