Hello everyone 👋 I just found my biological Dads family last week thanks to genetic testing & found out my bio father (who unfortunately is deceased) was from Lowell, went to LHS, class of 1967. My bio father also lived in Boston for over 20 years before his untimely death in 2019. My bio dad unfortunately passed not knowing he had a daughter which is hard to process 🥺😢 I’ve been in touch w/his family but there’s still a lot of things I’m trying to figure out, understandably some I’ll never know because he’s gone.
I found out he’s buried in Lowell but my family can’t remember where. If I contact the city would they be able to tell me what cemetery my bio dad is in? I’m also trying to see if my bio Dad has any living friends left I’d just like to talk to some folks & get an idea of what his persona & personality was like. I already know my son looks just like him, I inherited my Dads face & eating preferences. If anyone could help point me in the right direction it would mean everything to me. Took me almost 4 decades to get to this point of my life, TIA.

I'm not an expert but I believe funeral directors get burial permits from City Hall, so the City should have a record of that along with the death certificate. You should start with the Lowell City Clerk's office and they could point you in the right direction. Wishing you the best of luck.
