The thing is you know what to look out for and are going into the situation with massive bias. Just knowing that youre reading something that is generated by AI will make you try really hard to spot it.

But for most people who have zero idea this exists. Who don't care. Who only read headlines or cursory glances at things. Everything chatgpt puts out I strongly believe that you can't tell the difference. The art stuff is the same way. The real scary thing about the art stuff is that it knows how to map out human emotion.

I agree. But the fact that even when looking for it, most people can't always tell the difference, and generally fall on a 75% success rate, is even more impressive IMO.
