While state government does nothing, the greed of property owners raising their rents is pushing homelessness to new levels.

Greed is a big factor. I think a lot of rich people are trying to make it a big issue to try to get more laws that support their entrenched ruling class.

In the apartment building next to our house in Bangor, they are doubling the rent for what looks to be, a fucking slum. A few residents have already moved but a few more remain until their lease is up. I can't imagine anywhere costing $1400 a month in fucking Bangor. All the apartments ive seen or lived in were fucking garbage

How long will we let this go on before we do something? No matter how bad things get, the same shitty politicians get elected again and again.

Rich people, mostly, didn't get rich by being stupid and uninformed. They see the writing on the wall, the car crash you can't look away from. They see the collapse coming soon, they're extracting as much as they can from the plebs and "going home".

The rich people now are definitely stupid and uninformed. Its called generational wealth and very few rich people actually got rich by their own merit.

Should be a 90% inheritance tax over a million.

I would like to delete a lot and condense a lot. Then DEEP audits of spending. Especially on contractors that seem to empathize with ripping off the government.

You know that would seem like the case, except there aren't a glut of empty apartments. Most rent very quickly. So competition is keeping them full regardless of price.
