A tournament to determine the best town in Maine according to r/Maine

Todays match: Boothbay Harbor vs. Damariscotta

Yesterday’s Winner: Portland

Methodology: There are now less than 8 towns remaining. A daily poll will continue to narrow down this bracket until only one remains.

Vote for your favorite town, whether it’s the better place to live, visit, or pass through, or you are just fonder of it for some other reason. At this late stage in the tournament, consider doing a bit of research online before making your vote.

On the second google sheet there’s all the play-in rounds. Every town in Maine was included!

Literally just moved from Boothbay to Damariscotta a few days ago, and am already so happy with my decision. I love Boothbay, but the place has become way too tourism centric over the years. Damariscotta still gets its share of tourists, but pretty much everything is still open in the winter, and it’s so much more affordable!

Never lived in damariscotta but have lived in boothbay, boothbay is trash, people from boothbay are usually trash, it's and over hyped hell hole that people from away go to in the summer and pretend they are Mainers, left over 8 years ago and vowed never to go back. It's beautiful country but the community is awful.
