We have to order in the spring if we want seasoned wood, last year we were too late and ended up getting green wood and letting it dry out in our barn over the winter. Fortunately we had enough seasoned wood to get us through.

If you aren't able to find a supply of seasoned wood for this winter, maybe look into envi blocks or something similar? No experience myself with them but I have a friend who swears by them (although they don't use their wood stove as a main heat source like we do, honestly I have no idea how the cost compares). A quick Google search suggests you can get them from a place in Lisbon Falls called Maine Pellet Sales.
