I mean that is cool and all, but is it as economical as delivering the mail in a sports car or am I missing something?

Lobstermen cry poor at mouth but have all this extra cash for this type of stuff. They also hired an uber expensive DC lawyer in their efforts to extinquish the right whale.

Not sure why anyone takes them seriously or feels sorry for them.

Maybe because people are trying to extinguish their whole fucking income source?

Rednecks are gonna redneck, bub. They're gonna put the biggest engine in whatever they can. It's the same thing for a influencer wanting to put the faster CPU in there gaming setup for fortnite, minecraft, or whatever the kids are playing these days.

I know right?

I can't believe laborers like lobstermen have the audacity to splurge on luxuries like fancy boats and things that could make them less miserable when the oceans are warming at rapid rates and whales are dying.

They do nothing except pillage and destroy the very waters that provided food and sustenence to remote communities for hundreds of years, that must stop now! These communities are now so privileged they want to embrace their accelerated destruction of the climate and the habitats nature relies on.

Not on our watch!

They should just do what's best for everyone, except probably them of course but I'm sure there is a tiny violin somewhere, and just go back to shooting heroin or taking oxys like the degenerates they are. At least after they subject themselves and their families to the destruction of hard drugs that definitely aren't being funneled into these sorts of localities most at risk of poverty and economic hardship despite having vast amounts of natural value, beauty, and resources, maybe then they will finally forfeit their positions of privelidged destroyers of our planet and be subjected to the equity of helpless corporate servitude like the rest of us.

The Maine Way would be to bank that money for when the projected hard days arrive instead of spending it like a free-basing liberal. Perhaps you can explain how mindlessly splurging can be "what's best for everyone." Whoever this "everyone" is.

What do you mean?

Go bicker somewhere else. In this thread we are proclaiming our lack of respect for anyone we disagree with and piling on with outrageous hyperbole and hysterical narratives that should be mimicked and repeated unless your not an ally. Your kind aren't welcome here, thinking you are better than others with your privileged "saving" and ownership of things.

Look, these places of prime real estate in one of the most beautiful places in our country, owned by these degenerate racist rednecks, aren't going to put themselves on the market. Our rich overlords or maybe even the benevolent State/Federal welfare institutions could better use that real estate and beautiful coastline to put clean windmills or install multi-family housing to reduce inequities in our society.

Everything we can do to tarnish the reputations of hard working racists and rip them and their families from the lands they stole from the indigoneous peoples is worth it and valid.

Do your part and help destroy their self-proclaimed "sustainable" pillaging of our planet.

JFC, this is a sideline among friends for bragging rights. It's fun to watch, costs the public nothing and is as Maine as it gets.

Leave your petty shit behind for a minute and enjoy Maine for what it is.

Most of you spend more on your I phones than these guys do on racing.

Go out on the water on a beautiful sunny summer day, anchor with about 100 friends and strangers all in 'It's summah in Maine!' party mode, watch the boats race, most with family and pets aboard, go home smiling and wishing for more.

If this makes you piss and moan, you're in the wrong state, bub.

Some lobsterman, definitely not all or even close to a majority. Care to tell me how many right whales have been entangled from Maine lobster gear in the last 20 years? How about deaths? Seeing an article about some people participating in lobster boat races building up their boats and acting like that’s all lobsterman is like watching nascar and thinking everyone with a car has a 700 HP engine.

Why spread the same rinse and repeated vitriol against lobsterman but not uphold your cause against other possible reasons for right whale deaths? Navy Ship strikes and even fucking sonar. How about countries that are still actively hunting whales? I guess not, that’s not the soup du jour of recreational outrage today.
