Maybe a deluxe cabin suite at AWOL, just 5 min walk to town but you feel like you're miles away from everything. Fireplace by the window and hope it snows.

Thanks! I was looking at AWOL. Have you stayed there? Also, do you think it would be better than William Jefferds House/Captains Collection (if you are familiar with it)?

Haven't stayed at Jeffords or any place that feels like you're staying in someone's big old house, just a personal preference for us. Also the rooms seem smallish and cramped but if you got a suite it would probably be very comfortable.
My daughter has stayed at AWOL when they first opened the "cabins" which are built around the old Captain Walker's House. She wants to go back, loved bicycling around the area but Nov might be too cold for that.
