A Jeep Wrangler
Yeah, we got logging roads for that.
Great…another Jeep douche moving to Maine.
There are some well organized off roading groups in Maine. Check them out. Reddit is full of millennial gamer folk who don’t really venture off their couches, so take the responses here with a grain of salt.

Desert of Maine in Freeport. Be nice, don’t harass the camels
You're not very familiar with our beaches, are you?
I wouldn’t call it “over sand” but anywhere north of Ellsworth will have driveable tidal flats. Look for clamming roads if you have a decent vehicle.
Do us all a favor and don't move to Maine
Western Maine has backwoods logging roads — it’s more about views and lakes. If it’s coastline you want, your best bet is hiking or biking. I would suggest a visit before moving. Check this out: https://newenglandforestrally.com Also snowmobiles are a thing.
