I don't know where else to turn so I come to you, the greatest minds of reddit, for assistance. I want to put some turkey legs in the smoker for Thanksgiving, but cannot find them for sale anywhere. Don't want the whole turkey, just 6 or 8 legs. Has anybody seen them for sale or know a guy in a back alley I can buy them from? I will thank you from the bottom of my very stressed out heart.

Walmart carried both raw turkey drumsticks & pre-smoked turkey drumsticks, last time I went looking.

Edit: Raw drumsticks look to be sold out (though if you call the store, maybe there are still some around), but "Villari Brothers" smoked drumsticks are still listed online for a number of Maine locations.

I used to get them at Costco, which obviously doesn't help here, but maybe BJs or Sam's Club has them?

I've seen them at Market Basket in the past, but it's hit or miss.

Long drive but Curtis Custom Meats in Warren will probably be able to hook you up.

Fresh Approach or Pats Meat Market, both in Portland

Talk to a butcher. Even the big name stores can order them.

Call Pinetree poultry in New Sharon. I know they raise turkeys but this time of year they could all be spoken for. ( you said you would drive )

Call a health food store and ask what farms they get their turkeys from and then call the farms

It’s almost impossible to find turkey legs in Portland. However, you may have luck being that Thanksgiving is next week. Pats should be able to special order them for you but you might have to buy a whole case…

Source: I own a restaurant that sells turkey year round and we buy it at a kosher shop in Cambridge.

I bought a Webber Smokey Mountain at Aubuchon this summer. I do a fair bit of hunting and fishing, so it was a no brainer. They are like $300 once you get all the paraphernalia, but they are so worth it if you're into smoking your own food. There are countless opportunities for smoking. Anyway, I spatchcocked a turkey I shot this fall and smoked the halves and it was freaking delicious.
