Does anyone know what the status is of the ice on Flagstaff Lake? I'm planning a trip up to Eustis in a couple of weeks and would like to spend some time on the ice if there is enough. Hoping for 4-5" but with the warm weather we have had I don't know if it's been cold enough yet. Thanks!

Hopefully thick enough that you don't inadvertently visit Flagstaff the town.

My mom was born in Flagstaff in the '20s. She liked to tell people she was born in the middle of a lake. Lol

If you have a Facebook profile there’s a page called “Ice thickness in Maine” it’s literally people asking and reporting on ice conditions across Maine.

You can find lots of ice that thick much farther south, but there is a serious thaw underway. And it's a big deep lake. Conditions could be wildly different in different parts of it.
