Heat pumps have no indoor/outdoor air exchange as part of their process. No humid air is getting "sucked" out.

When my heat pump runs (Summer or Winter) the big register on the floor('return air') sucks in air, filters it, conditions it and then sends it back through the vents. If not sucked out then it's sucked down into the basement and comes back nice and cool!

You have a ducted system then, the air is cooled by your indoor unit in what sounds like your basement, then ducted upstairs.
