Good guess. My gf said that cops have closed off Cumberland St.

Yeah, there’s a whole section of downed lines crossing Cumberland and running down Market St.

It sent my dog running for the bed. He's still there hiding.

Poor thing. I also saw whatever happened just beyond WZON from Broadway and it lit up the sky. Don't know what it was that did happen because you couldn't get through. Big boom. :)

Yoinks. I thought I saw a flash, but I was looking in a different direction and wasn't sure.

There were definitely flashes. Then it was totally blocked off with fire trucks.

Outer Essex past Grandview was closed (likely still is). Essex Street from Clark out past Grandview is out (like we always are... Sigh). The Broadway shopping center with Hannaford, etc was out too, but I'm not sure if that's related or not. The rest of Broadway had power when we drove around at 8:30ish.

Something happened around 5 - big flashes right around WZON/Northeast Eye Center - I think that's what took down the power. I had to turn around atWZON. ThTs when Broadway Shopping Center went. Thankfully, Bangor Drug still had power, and I could pick up meds.
