Walgreens is having a very difficult time employing anyone. The one in Westbrook was closed indefinitely for a while.

I stopped into one because I didn't feel like driving to Walmart just to pick up some insoles for my work boots and a pack of batteries for my headlamp. $36 after tax, actual robbery. One employee on the front end, U-boats full of freight all over the aisles and nobody behind the counter for their photo booth. No idea how they stay in business in general, paying their employees as low as they can get away with and having everything horrendously overpriced. Good riddance.

Yea, my son is home from college and it’s been him and a shift lead working 12 hour days by themselves. The pay is absolutely abysmal but he’s able to transfer to a store near his school easily so he sticks with it.

This is my main pharmacy and it’s been basically hit or miss since the pandemic. Fwiw if the store is closed the drive thru is likely still open so if you have a prescription you can still fill it. Hope that helps!!

I shop there regularly but don’t use the pharmacy.

I’ve never had a bad experience there but the staff turnover seems VERY high.

I second the CVS. The pharmacy crew seems really good and friendly.

Try going mail-order. Much better, no need to walk in anywhere and wait.

I use I-Care Pharmacy in Fort Fairfield. Have never had to travel hours up the state and visit them once. Very friendly and timely staff, and prescriptions arrive at my house within a couple days (mail delays notwithstanding). Highly recommend them.
