Are you kidding me? We live in a very rural state and they had close to 60,000 customers without power. Nearly as much as the ice storm. The employees are giving up their Christmas to get everyone going again and anyone bitching just sounds like an ungrateful brat. The fact they've gotten as many people going again as quickly as they have is pretty impressive.

Not to mention that most power co employees are now on their 3rd straight week without a day off due to the storm last weekend as well.

I’m not kidding you. Their website gives very little/no restoration data and there was a single crew in our town today.

What do you mean? They have a live outage map and said there are over 100 crews working on Christmas Day.

Sometimes we just have to accept that we live in a rural state in a corner of the country. I make sure to have days’ worth of supplies and either a generator or a way to heat the house without power.

You poor thing. What do you want " x street in your town will be back at this exact time" ? You sound so spoiled. What are you, 12? With that much wide spread damage, they were doing the best they could - on Christmas Day no less.
