I hope you are willing to sell your body for them!

Last time I tried to buy clams they wanted like $40 for a small plate of them. At that price I'll dig em up myself thanks.

Wow. Not even sure I could get 40 bucks for this old thing!

Onion rings look amazing.

*edit…oh I’ve been there.

Go in the other direction to Salisbury, MA off 186. Lena’s opens in March (we can’t wait). They have great seafood. Having been born and raised in Maine, I have to say it’s the best. Then we go across the street for an ice cream…Hodgies Too.

Kittery - just across the river from New Hampster.

I have been to maine once - kittery. It was just for an hour or so and I grabbed dinner. Don’t remember the name of the place but it really just had one long table and everyone sat around it. Sat next to this older gentleman who worked at the military base. Was one of the nicest experiences of my life. Everyone was so friendly and kind. Have always wanted to return.

Originally York till about 7th grade, then to Berwick Academy in South Berwick (my mother taught there…)

Same. I grew up right near the Amazing.net 👌

Once a year my dad would take my brothers and I to Bob's. We stopped doing that 5,6- maybe 7 years ago. It's much too expensive for me. But man, I love my some fried clams.

howieinchicago t1_j6ar70o wrote

Dammit, I used to live about 3 mi from that place 20 years ago and I think I still have my t-shirt somewhere (‘EAT CLAMS!’). Now I’m stuck in Chicago and dreaming of Bob’s! Looks sooo good!

Going to restaurants off season can be a great experience. They are glad to see you and everything is prepared with a little more care because they have the time. Also very relaxing.

Don't tell anybody, but early spring through June is the best time to get clams in Mass. That's when they start digging them. Out of season clams usually come out of a can from Maryland.

Tasted great to us and have been there numerous times over the years.

Yeah we were super loyal and there often - and then went several times after new ownership and it was disappointing. Maybe they got their act together! Will have to try again.
