I have a kind of weird one, I take pictures of construction equipment for banks/lenders. They only ask me to do it about a half-dozen times a year but it generally only takes an hour and it pays $100 so it's nothing to sneeze at. I don't necessarily need the extra money but it's so easy I haven't stopped doing it.

I make custom kegerator/bar tap handles out of antiques, neat looking scraps like old doorknobs, action figures, etc. I don't advertise, or have a website. Its more of a hobby than anything else, but its super easy and fun.

I wish I had a side hustle. I thought about doing a wholesome onlyfans. Where I just stream baking cookies or how to give your wife a hot stone massage after work. Why it's important to listen to her day and make her feel special? Just a fully dressed man in an apron doing dishes discussing the best tactics to handle those really tough dishes. How to change a diaper in 2.5 seconds and the proper technique to land it in the trash can.

I dont think it would ever take off tho...lolz

I don't have one, but my wife told me I should give guitar lessons to kids who just want to learn how to play cool shit fast without having to learn about sissy stuff like diatonic scales and the circle of fifths.

I think she just wants me to get out of the house more during the winter, but I'm actually kinda thinking about doing it.

Overcharging rental owners for super basic simple maintenance tasks. Sometimes it’s putting silicone on a single screw for a metal roof and sometimes it’s hanging a picture or fixing a clogged sink but it’s usually pretty easy and makes good money.

I can always pick up a cottage to clean on Saturdays in the summer if I need a little cash. Gave up checking summer houses in the winter, though. Easy 5 minute walk-through when everything's fine, but a nightmare when there's a storm or the power goes out or it dips below zero. Now I only have to think about my own pipes freezing, not 10 summer properties 20 miles away whose owners insist on keeping the water on all winter. And my pipes never freeze because, unlike my clients, I follow my advice.

There’s such a lack of handymen/tradesmen, at least in my area, you can print up business cards and pin them up at business’s around town. This got so much work for my cousin and I we had to contemplate taking them down. Once you work a few jobs word of mouth snowballs and you don’t have to advertise, just do good work. We do work for locals too but charge a lot less. You can always say no to a job or just bid it super high and subcontract, but it’s definitely worth seeing what’s out there in your area

Followed on from working as a weekly housecleaner for the families in the summers. They trusted me in their houses, and I already knew the property services/trades they used; their plumbers, lawn care/plow guys, etc. They mostly had general contractors on call as they were constantly having work done, but the GCs were usually happy not to have to do weekly checks and have me do them & call them if I saw a problem. Still kinda had to make a lot of judgement calls whether something was a potential emergency or not. Glad not to have to think about it any more.

Not sure how handy you are with a chainsaw or how you feel about heights. But there are lots of tree limbs/trees on people's properties and a lot of people are too old to take care of them themselves. Also gutter cleaning, roof shoveling, general lawn care (think aeration, over seeding, fertilizer etc) aeration can easily be $200+ for a few hours hard work. Some of these might be more difficult to get business for up north, but I'm sure a combination of things could start to build up a group of regular customers

There are a bunch of consignment shops that will rent you a table and take a percentage. It’s not bad, but you need to price yourself correctly or you lose money quick. After that, I’ll hit the big festivals or just a roadside stand.
