What kind of "insurance"??

Medical? Car? Liability? Homeowners? Business? Malpractice?

An auto policy won't increase like that due to 'inflation'. You had an accident or the coverage is different.

This increase seems targeted for sure.

Although with the number of cars sliding off the roads and into each other in each storm, I can see the risk/rates for the entire state increasing more than usual next year.

My rate for our 2017 Lincoln mkx went from $1037 to $1916. I argued with the agent saying this is crazy. Inflation was his answer. I’ve been with charmers insurance out of Bridgton since 2008.

Any accidents or tickets?

Check the insurance company's records to make sure that someone else's accident wasn't applied to you. It happens.

I’ll have to check that thanks. A quick search online shows that the rates are going up like this everywhere. I tried shopping years ago but it can be hard to compare apples to apples.

Do you have a family member who recently got their license? Our insurance doubled the year my son started driving. It turned out the insurance co. had put his name on the titles. (It still went up, but not as significantly.) I ended up switching to MMG which has been good to us.
