Planted over 1 billion trees to cut down and sell. Nothing wrong with that but the way it’s worded makes it seem like they are doing it altruistically. Nah, they want more money.

This info isn't necessarily accurate.

Much forest land is owned by trusts, LLCs, etc, and the actual 'beneficial owners' of these entities are not publicly known.

I have it on good authority that the largest land owner in Maine is not the Irving Family, but rather an institution that hides its ownership by owning parcels under multiple entities with undisclosed beneficial ownership.
