I actually saw the video footage of the incident as it happened posted on r/someofyoumaydie the other day

Dude threw a punch, and in return other dude loaded a full clip point blank range in lightning quick reflexes as if he was just WAITING for an opportunity to shoot somebody. It was so unnecessarily violent I cant even beleive what I was watching.

unreal, this was so brutal. Rest in peace to the gentleman who has been murdered, and I hope justice gets served as best it can; we cannot take a life back.

I just closed on a home Friday morning, day before this happened, my new place is a mile and a half from that bar. This could have been me, or my friends, my God, how scary that somebody so violent can just live among the population unhinged and be about to erupt any moment. Sure throwing a punch ain't classy either but dude doesnt deserved to be murdered for it. I'm scared

Drunken barfights leading to felonious assaults happen everywhere. Iā€™m worried about a lot of things, but i am not an alcoholic who goes around picking fights and instigating other alcoholics so scenarios like this one are not what Iā€™m worried about. Nobody should have pulled a gun for such a petty incident but is what happens when you have a bunch of insecure alcoholic bros on an alphamale rage trip.

I understand what you're saying, but i disagree with your sentiments. good for you for not being an alcoholic, but alcoholics are humans with struggles too, and people should not be murdered over a stupid mistake or because they're struggling with addiction, and whether alpha male alpha female alpha nonbinary it doesnt matter, humans, alcoholics, sober, whatever the hell--- in general, need to do better.

Like, by not sucker punching someone? IM NOT DEFENDING THE SHOOTER but this is all avoided by people making smarter decisions. This helpless victim mentality is irrational. They both made choices.

How about we don't victim blame, thanks. I cant even fathom you saying this to the victims family and loved ones, what the actual fuck.

You can attempt to argue with me until you're blue in the face but I stand by what I said; we don't deserve to be brutally murdered for making a stupid mistake as our choice. We. Need. To. Do. Better.

Who, needs to do better? The guy who sucker punched him. Guy, if you want a society free from responsibility, you. Are. In. The. Wrong. Place.

Coldest-Spinach t1_j6kg0e5 wrote

Thats not what I said, lol. I said he did not deserved to be murdered for his mistake. A night in jail for assault? sure. Gunned down the way he did? No. being murdered for throwing a punch is not "taking responsibility" for what he did

But wow,,,,,

Mrs. Pouliot's cried through tears, "Why did they have to take him?"

Imagine the response "Welp, he threw a punch. Shouldn't have thrown a punch".

Ffs šŸ„“šŸ„“šŸ„“šŸ„“ And I'll gladly stay in the wrong place then, I stand by what I said, keep tryin tho

I'm not saying he deserved to be shot. I'm saying that's one possible outcome, a rational adult person should consider. I do.

Being a decent human and not murdering people is also a possible outcome... To live in fear of making any mistakes-- which is part of the human experience to do-- for fear of being murdered is no way to live.

It seems you live a very privileged life if this is how you think, and I implore you to instead of blaming victims of such heinous crimes to instead imagine if that was you, your friends, your father, your brother, your lover. Imagine yourself, at 24 years old, still learning, still growing, still navigating life, still trying to understand emotions and in one little burst of anger you impulsively throw a punch-- only for your whole entire life so far to be taken away, as well as prevent the rest of your life to happen. And suddenly you have somebody trying to decide what color urn you should be in or what to do with your ashes because you were way too young to even consider a will or aftercare with your remains.

I hope considering that, perhaps youd be able to humble yourself a bit more. You're so disproportionately viewing this it feels like you're talking about him as if you're the one who murdered him!! Have you no heart?

This isn't about you, it doesn't matter if you do or dont (and you already said you punched people before so LOL clearly you don't). I think maybe that's the problem with your comments... you're trying to revolve this around you.... but honey, it's not about you. It's about the victim and his loved ones, about the people who fear for their safety. The deceased and the vulnerable. Show some respect.

good bye and be well.

Mistakes have consequences. I blame everyone's parents here. But I'll tell you what, I hurt someone badly in a fight once. Punches aren't innocuous, and you need to do better. Jesus h Christ, who the fuck thinks like this!

You could try not being a massive bleeding heart underdog supporter, who's support ultimately is against private firearm ownership.

Look, it you close your eyes while driving down the road, you might wreck. You pick a fight with someone, you might get hurt.

Can you explain what your comment means? I'm not quite understanding. I'm autistic so can you say it a little bit clearer?

Edit: actually, nevermind, I dont care

Hi, I don't appreciate this reply. Somebody died-- was brutally murdered-- and your concern is poking fun at politics and insults utilizing genitalia. This is not cute or funny. Please go away, you're part of the problem
