Very true. I’ve had the same experience. Stock factory lube feels as smooth as 205g0 hand-lubed.

I also compared the lubed Gateron Oil Kings with ABS keycaps and ePBT keycaps.
What do you prefer, the sound of the factory lubed, or the handlubed?

I tried my Oil Kings before and after hand lubing and I am a sucker for hand lubed switches! They are may favourite, and even though I often try to branch out and try new things i can guarantee my next build will be powered by hand-lubed oil kings

Are ABS normally deeper sounding than PBT? I always forget...

I honestly couldn’t tell much of a difference from the video. I do have Oil Kings on my board and there is a slight difference in sound, but I wouldn’t say one sounded better than the other. I also agree there is no change in smoothness.
Personally I don’t think these are worth lubing. The main allure of the Oil Kings is the stock performance. There are cheaper options for those willing to put with the labors of lubing.
