Hey there!

During my last keyboard built, I was looking to find a similar switch to the ones I like, and was surprised to discover that there is no website that tries to collect all the possible key switches and their specs. So I've built one myself! AnySwitch.xyz

It's an early stage MVP, and it's missing some key switches (mainly Gateron and some small brands/manufacturers). I plan to expand the database of switches, as well as add more functionality such as ability to find similar feeling switches, and price data.

I'd appreciate any feedback you might have. If you have any suggestions for things you'd like to see, please let me know!

Happy clacking!

immediately what comes to mind is filtering settings for force... well actually for most columns.

eg. if I wanted to see all the 90++ g linears with 3pins

Are you aware of switches.mx? It's open source.

Excellent. I started making something like this myself a couple years ago but moved on to a different project. Keep us updated as you progress!

one of the features I like on switches.mx is the vendor list for each switch – ex. where can I actually buy it?

Minor gripe but having the list be loaded as you scroll (like reddit) instead of pages would be a nice feature.

Otherwise, really nice!

Nice work. But you have the incorrect bottom-out force for Cherry MX Clears. Per Novelkeys, it's 85g; per switches.mx, it's 95g. The force curve on Cherry's website suggests that switches.mx is correct.

I did a good market research before development, so I've missed switches.mx, but it did come up later when I was looking for specs to one of the switches.

Switches.mx is a good overall site, I really like the design. Seems like we are focusing on the same specs of the switches. However, there are so difference between my vision and what switches.mx offers:

  1. switches.mx feels slow. It's a PHP website, so it needs a server. AnySwitch is entirely statically generated
  2. switches.mx focuses more on regular profile, mx switches. I plan to have all the switches, including low profile, and different stem types like Topre or Choc.
  3. Switches.mx is a database that you can search. My vision is to eventually include a comparison option as well as list of similar switches (based on specs heuristic)

But yeah, switches.mx is great otherwise!
