Love the key caps. What are they?
quintusthorn OP t1_jairvrh wrote
Ok, lets try that without annoying the automod. It's the '149 Keys Similar Cherry PBT Double Shot Keycaps For Mx Switch Mechanical Keyboard Double Color Injection Black Yellow Keycap' from 'Lenovo Keycaps Store' on AliExpress.
As someone mentioned below they look to be based on the SA Strong Spirit (base set without novelties).

I'm thinking about doing the same type of thing depending on cost, I'm a lurker in this sub. About how much was all the above?
quintusthorn OP t1_jainxge wrote
~£80 (~$96 at time of writing) but I think the Womier can be had cheaper if you get it directly from Womier (or maybe even Amazon if you're in the US).

Out of curiosity, was that everything? The womier board alone appears to be more than that on UK Amazon right now.
quintusthorn OP t1_jajuduw wrote
I bought the Womier from AliExpress for £35.36, which was including tax, with free shipping. I think it's available for less directly from Womier, but you may have to pay for import and delivery.

Had to look that up. Yeah, I suspect they are knock off versions, but solid!

I am a big fan of the Ajazz Banana switches, and I am loving the colourway of your board, nice work for your first build!

Cheers! I was thinking of holy pandas (or as close as my budget would allow) as they seem to be recommended frequently but went with the bananas instead. Glad I did. Lubed they feel and sound very nice!

Nice color combination on those keycaps.

First time poster (please be gentle!)
My low budget entry into the world of keyboards. Thought I'd try out some cheap stuff before diving in at the deep end.
Keyboard: Womier WK61 (60% layout)
Switches: Ajazz x Huanno Diced Fruit Banana
Keycaps: Doubleshot PBT CSA profile
Stabs: Included plate mount stabs
Switches lubed with 3203, springs with GPL 105, stabs with dielectric grease.
Filled the base with an old, thick mouse mat which has given it a bit of heft and a fuller sound. The board came with a silicone layer between the plate and PCB which was unexpected. Feels nice and solid and has a nice sound to it (in my opinion).
Pretty happy overall. Only ever used MX Brown switches before and have been pleasantly surprised with how different the Ajazz switches have been.
