This was my first time soldering a board, and I'd like to say it went well! Went through about a day or so of troubleshooting, and another day or so getting used to layers and layout, but overall, I love this board, and it was so fun putting all this together.

Once you go 40% and get a layout working for you, you'll never go back.

Try putting the numbers on a layer under home row, F-keys on the bottom row and the shifted symbols on QWERTY. It works well once you get used to it! Even better if you use one of the spacebars as an FN key to toggle that layer.

Great job with the build BTW! I'd love to build one of these if only it had a few more keys on the right side like my MiniVan.

Go for it! Be aware that you need to solder for this kit. If you're brand new to soldering (like I was), watch a few youtube videos on how to solder and practice on some old PCBs around the house (I salvaged something from a rundown radio in my basement). What I regret most is not paying for their USB-C soldering service (3 bucks) and not reading the build guide before purchasing. The build itself isn't necessarily hard, I'd rate it a 5/10 on difficulty. (considering you're new to soldering) TLDR, highly recommend. 👍

There is a build guide on their website! You can also watch build VODS or youtube videos going through the whole build process.
