Your up and down should be left and right. The left and right should be your up down. This centers the up down arrows and keeps the left right at the bottom. In the end it doesn’t matter as long as you like it

Ohhh I see! I looked at pictures building this, exactly because I wasn't sure which way the arrows go, and it seems that's just the way they designed it.
